Another trip to the dam

Ok, so we’re still waiting around until we move house, and the kids are driving each other crazy, and I’m tearing my hair out! By the time we’d finished lunch, my darling man and I agreed we’d go for a long drive, just get everyone out of the house. When they went to Warragamba Dam the other day, he’d noticed they had Thomas the Tank Engine rides on the way to the dam. So, we thought we’d check out if it was open.

It wasn’t. So, we went to the dam again, and the kids were delighted that I’d joined them this time. Plus, Miss 20 months got to come along, too.

It was a much hotter day this time, so we didn’t stay as long, but it was still a lovely little trip… On the way home, I begged my darling to stop the car so I could take some pics that were bizarre! I don’t know what you’d call it, but it was like an old fair ground that had just gone all horrible-looking. It’s a pity I didn’t get him to take the pics, since it’s common knowledge I’m not much of a photographer…

Here’s an odd-looking bear on a hill.

Here’s a bunch of tee-pees, and a freaky looking decapitated dog. You can’t see it, but it actually has a macabre pipe in its open neck cavity. Urgh!

Here’s just some plain-old weird shit. That’s not a real person, it’s all part of the… whatever the hell it is.

I couldn’t go in behind the barb-wire fences, because it had a ‘trespassers will be prosecuted’ sign. I could hear the theme music from ‘Deliverance’ playing inside my head, so you can be sure I took heed!

Anyway, we took note of the times for the Thomas rides, and will go back for those one day. Can’t wait!

That’s a fake bear, but now you mention it, very sloth-like!
