What a busy time of year this has turned out to be. Today I’ve been out buying soft furnishings for the new house and am happily knackered. Spotlight had a sale on for VIP’s, so I picked up some rugs and fabrics for the kids’ rooms.
Above is some curtain and sheeting fabric. The rest of the goodies are in our bedroom where bubs is sound asleep, so I’m not disturbing her for photos of those! But you get the idea..
I made a small start on the pillowcases tonight. The curtains will have to wait until my darling takes another trip to the house with Miss 9, so he can measure them for me. I am so excited, so this gives me an outlet. Not to mention, I was shocked at how little the fabric cost in comparison to buying everything pre-made.
Besides, I really am finicky at times, and sometimes I just want what I want, and can never find it in the stores, so I’m happier to make it myself.
Other good news? I got my glasses from Zenni yesterday, which means I’ll be blogging more faithfully again. Even better news is that after five years, we have finally gotten a car again! Life just got a little easier, thank you universe.. I will have to start working out again, I think. Hehe
