See Mum Shine Challenge

Grab button3 See Mum Shine Challenge

This challenge was born from the knowledge that there are so many of us camera-shy mums in the world. If you’ve ever used the same photo again and again from years ago when asked for a photo, because it was the only one you felt was ‘good enough’, this challenge is for you.

If you’re always avoiding having your photo taken because you think you look shocking, or you’re waiting to lose weight, get your hair done, etc, this is for you. Let’s stop letting life pass us by, and enjoy getting lots of photos of ourselves as memories for our children. This challenge is for all of us mums to appreciate the beauty in motherhood – in ourselves and others. Let’s celebrate motherhood and our families!

I want to join in, what do I do?
It’s easy. Get a photo taken of yourselves once a day, for 365 days! You can post them on your blog, and leave a link to your blog below.

If you’re joining in on the fun, all I ask is that you place the ‘See Mum Shine’ challenge button somewhere on your blog. It can be in your sidebar, on your links page, or on your post/s. It’s up to you. You can find the grab button code below. I look forward to celebrating strong, beautiful mums (or moms) from all around the world. If the challenge has already started before you found this, that’s fine. Just start anyway. The page for my personal challenge can be found here.

Note: I have discovered via trial and error, that posting the challenge daily on my blog was disrupting the ‘flow’ of my blog, hence why I started a Tumblr account just for this. You can either post your photos in your blog daily, or start your own gallery of some sort, whatever works for you.

Hear Mum Roar is a place for mothers to have a voice. I love to hear what you have to say and talk to you! When you visit my comments section, I want you to imagine we're all sitting in a room together, sharing ideas, opinions and getting to know each other. Giving support. To make sure that my comments area is used for the intended purpose, I've compiled a commenting policy, and I ask anyone who hasn't read it to do so before commenting. Most of all, please feel welcome to join in:) You are welcome and wanted here.
